Lars-Hendrik Röller named as chief economic policy advisor to the German government

Lars-Hendrik Röller

Lars-Hendrik Röller will serve as Director General of the Economic and Financial Policy Division in the German Federal Chancellery from July 2011. Röller, a Research Fellow since 1992, served as Director of the CEPR Industrial Organization Programme from 1996 to 2003. He then served as the European Commission's Chief Competition Economist until 2006, when he took up the post of President of the European School of Management and Technology in Berlin. Röller received his doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania in 1987, and taught at INSEAD, the Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin and Humboldt University.
